What do I need to use Sync+? |
|

A plug-in is needed to use Sync+. It can be downloaded for free from this website. An ID is also required for P2P synchronization. You can get an ID from the Get Sync+ ID page of this website. |

How can I uninstall Sync+? |

Remove the program from Add or Remove Programs (Add/Remove Applications in Windows 2000) of the Control Panel. |

How can I update to the new version? |

If you are using an old version and you click the button for calling a shop assistant while using SyncShop, you are directed to the installation website for update. In the case of using P2P, a version update confirmation dialog box appears to prompt you to update the version when you log in. |

Does the browser get slow to display websites? |
|
| A. |
It will be slightly slow, but not to be stressful. |

Is it compatible with Tablet PC? |

Tablet PC operating system is not support. Supported operating systems are Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP. We intend, however, to support more operating systems in the future. |

You can change the Sync+ ID and password assigned by this website. If you obtained them from another website, contact the administrator of the website. |

You can use up to 14 single-byte alphanumeric characters. |

Is the security all right? |

Basically, Sync+ follows the security policies of the PC and Internet Explorer. There is no need to worry because Sync+ is designed so that operation is not possible unless both parties give their permission. |

Won’t the other party be able to see my list of Favorites URLs? |

List of Favorites URL is not synchronized. |

If I open multiple instances of Internet Explorer, will they all be synchronized? |

Windows that pop up from the first synchronized window will be synchronized, but newly opened windows of Internet Explorer will not be synchronized. |

Is the cache for websites I have viewed up until now also synchronized? |

The information from the start to the end of synchronization is synchronized. Cache prior to that is not synchronized. |

Your desktop is not viewed because Sync+ only synchronizes the browser. |

Will the other party be able to view the files on my PC? |

Internet Explorer can be used instead of Explorer, but there is no need to worry because such use is prohibited during synchronization. |

What happens if the websites that are permitted to be viewed on the other party’s PC and my PC differ? |

It is only possible to synchronize websites that are permitted by the settings on both PCs. |

There is no need to worry because your Sync+ ID and password are encrypted when you log in. |

Is communication encrypted when I am synchronized with the other party? |

Communication is not encrypted because this is not SSL communication. Communication is also not encrypted when you view normal websites if SSL communication is not used, so communication is not encrypted when you use Sync+. |

Is it possible for me to receive an attack from the Internet during synchronization? |

Each client accesses the Sync+ router and communication is initiated from there, so there is no need to worry about being attacked. |

Demands for current P2P support is majority, so currently only one-to-one communication is supported. |

Flash starts if Flash Player is installed on both PCs, but subsequent operation is not synchronized because external objects are not supported. |

A PDF is displayed if a PDF reader (Acrobat Reader, etc.) is installed on both PCs, but subsequent operation is not synchronized because external objects are not supported. |

A movie is started if movie software (Windows Media Player, Quick Time, etc.) is installed on both PCs, but subsequent operation is not synchronized because external objects are not supported. |

Is there support for browsers other than IE? |

There is currently no support for the operation of browsers other than Internet Explorer on Windows. We are, however, looking at market conditions and listening to customers as we consider whether to support other browsers in the future. |

Is it possible to record operation? |

It is not possible using the standard functions, but it is possible to build a system that enables operation to be recorded. |

Are multiple windows supported? What is the maximum number of windows I can open? |

By default, up to five windows including pop-up windows can be simultaneously synchronized. You can change the maximum possible number of windows from the property settings. |

What happens if the operation I perform conflicts with the operation the other party performs? |
|
| A. |
For scrolling and changing the screen size, the last operation performed takes priority because the most recent change is reflected. For operations such as clicking a button on the browser, the first operation performed takes priority. |

If characters are simultaneously entered in an input field, will they end up being mixed up? |
|
| A. |
Input in an input field is not synchronized unless the Copy button on the toolbar is clicked. |

What if the other party and I have different screen sizes (resolutions)? |

The size is adjusted to that of the smallest screen size. |

What happens if a Japanese website is viewed during synchronization when a Japanese operating system and an English operating system are used? |

If a Japanese font is not installed on the English operating system, the characters will appear garbled. This is because browser display is in accordance with the browser functions of each PC. |

Viewing such websites is currently prohibited by default. Consult us if you need to view HTTPS websites. (A router is required.) |
